In the first quarter of 2025, the leading navigation and maps applications on iOS in Ecuador showed varied performance trends as tracked by Sensor Tower.

Google Maps experienced a notable increase in downloads, starting at approximately 5.8K and peaking at nearly 10K in mid-February. The app maintained a strong user base with weekly active users beginning at about 278K and fluctuating around 290K throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a decrease in weekly downloads from 2.2K to around 1.4K by the end of March. However, active users increased from 70K to approximately 75K by early March before settling at around 66K.
